I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I provide psychotherapy and mind-body skills training. My theoretical approach to counseling is somewhat eclectic, but largely humanistic, existential, and integrative. I work with clients on examining and building upon the whole person holistically. I believe that a strong therapeutic alliance allows clients to process uncomfortable feelings, confront unhealthy habits, and recognize their talents and possibilities for contribution. I aim to impart and encourage a sense of belonging, empowerment and independence through listening, advocating and assisting clients to shape their lives as they see best.
I have a Masters Degree from Tulane University and experience in both private and public behavioral health settings. In all settings I have worked collaboratively with clients to move towards personal growth, stress reduction and improved coping techniques. Through compassion and clinical tools such as CBT, ACT and DBT, I partner with clients to manage life transitions and navigate developmental processes. I work to create a safe, empowering space for my clients. It's an environment where I believe we are best positioned to access insight, strengthen our resilience, and build readiness for change. My treatment areas of focus and speciality are depression, anxiety, grief and loss, perinatal mental health, and life transitions.
